Chicken Bone Broth

Chicken Bone Broth


  • 1 chicken (bones, feet, neck)

  • 2 small onions or shallots

  • 1 head garlic

  • 1 tsp peppercorns

  • 1-2 bay leaves

  • 2 tbsp seat salt

  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • 4 quarts filtered water

  • 1 bunch fresh organic herbs (i.e. Tarragon)


  • Place all ingredients except herbs into a large stockpot and let sit 1 hour

  • Bring to a boil and get rid of any foam that rises to the top

  • Cook on very low heat for 8-12 hours

  • Let cool.  Separate the meat from the bones.  Strain the broth

  • Wash the herbs well.  Warm up serving of strained broth (do not boil) and add a large handful of herbs (for extra minerals and taste)
