Crab Cakes

Crab Cakes


•1 pound crab meat

•2 egg yolks

•1 tbsp finely chopped shallot

•2 tbsp finely chopped celery

•2 tbsp finely chopped dill

•2 tsp lemon zest

•½ tsp hot sauce

•¼ tsp paprika

•⅓ cup olive oil


•squeeze excess liquid out of crab meat

•whisk together yolks, shallots, celery, dill, lemon zest, hot sauce and paprika.

•Gently mix in crab.

•Press two tbsp of crab meat into a circle cookie cutter. Gently lift cookie cutter and transfer cake onto plate.

•Cover and refrigerate 1 hour (VERY IMPORTANT!!)

•Preheat oven to 350°F

•Heat olive oil in a pan. Gently slide crab cakes in and cook 2-3 minutes per side until brown and crispy.

•Place crab cakes on a cookie sheet and bake another six minutes.
