Easy No-Fuss Turkey


Gravy


Rutabaga Fries


Green Been Casserole


Key Lime Tarts

 

Easy No-Fuss Turkey


Ingredients

  • Frozen Turkey

  • Lemon

  • Garlic

  • Onion

  • Celery

  • Carrot (optional)

  • Apple Slices (optional for flavour, not consumption)

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Directions

  • If using a frozen turkey, thaw completely.

  • Place lemon, garlic, onion, and celery into the cavity (you can throw in a carrot and even a few slices of apple for flavour).

  • Add salt and pepper to the outer skin and brush with 2tbsp olive oil.

  • Bake according the turkey size - usually 3-4 hours until internal temperature is 165 degrees F.

  • Slice.

 

Gravy


Ingredients

  • 1 cup Turkey Drippings

  • 1 Package IP Potato Puree

Directions

  • Mix together over low heat until combined and thickened.

  • Enjoy over turkey breast!



 

Rutabaga Fries


Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp Sea Salt

  • 2 Garlic Cloves, minced

  • Non-Stick Spray

  • 2 cups Rutabaga, peeled

  • 2 tsp Olive Oil

  • 1/2 tsp Parsley


Directions

  • Combine all ingredients

  • Lay flat on roasting tray lined with parchment or foil.

  • Bake at 375 degrees F for 45 minutes, or until done.

 

Green Bean Casserole


Ingredients

3 cups Green Beans, trimmed

1 cup Mushrooms, chopped

1/4 tsp Freshly Ground Pepper

1/2 tsp Sea Salt

6oz Canadian Bacon, chopped

2 Garlic Cloves, minced

1 Package IP Mushroom Soup Mix

1 cup Fat Free Low Sodium Chicken Broth

1oz Milk

1 tsp Olive Oil

Directions


Sautee green beans, bacon, garlic and mushrooms in olive oil for 5 minutes.

Add the IP mushroom soup mix to the 1 cup chicken broth and mix well.

Add mix to green beans.

Reduce heat to medium.

Add milk and let mixture simmer for 3-5 minutes, until thickened.

Season with salt and pepper.


 

Key Lime Tarts



Ingredients - Filling

  • 1 Packet IP Vanilla Pudding Mix

  • Splenda or Stevia, to taste

  • 1 Lime, zested

  • 3oz Water




Ingredients - Crust

  • 1 Package IP Maple Oatmeal

  • 1 egg white

  • 1 to 1 and 1/2oz Water

Ingredients - Meringue

  • 2 Egg Whites

  • Stevia or Splenda, to taste

  • Mini Muffic Cups

  • Non-Stick Spray

Directions - Filling

  • Mix IPs vanilla pudding with water and lime zest until there are no lumps in mixture. Refrigerate.

Directions - Crust

  • Combine IPs maple oatmeal with egg whites and water to make firm dough.

  • Coat your mini muffin cups with non-stick spray.

  • Use approximately 2 tsp of dough for each tart.

  • Bake tarts at 350 degrees F for 5 minutes.

Assembly

  • Whip remaining egg whites into still peaks.

  • Add stevia or splenda, set aside.

  • Fill cooled tart shells with vanilla puddint mixture.

  • Top with meringue.
