Meet your Advanced Vitality summer volunteers!

Advanced Vitality Summer Volunteer Melody

Melody!

Hi, I'm Melody! I am so excited to be back at the clinic and help out this summer. I am a student going into my fourth year of studies at Queen's University, working towards a Life Sciences degree with a specialization in Biomedical Sciences. I have absolutely loved my time at Queen's! After graduation, I hope to attend Chiropractic College and be able to practice like the wonderful ladies I look up to at the clinic. Chiropractic care has been so life changing for me throughout my time as a gymnast, and I am excited to eventually be able to help many clinic members in this same way! Over this quarantine, I have been spending my free time working out, going on hikes with my dog Stanley, and trying out new recipes. I can't wait to meet lots of new clinic members!

Advanced Vitality Summer 2020 Volunteer Rebecca

Rebecca!

Hi, I'm Rebecca! I am going into my 5th year of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Guelph and am hoping to attend Chiropractic College in the Fall of 2021. In my spare time, I enjoy camping, biking, skiing and going on walks with my dog! I am looking forward to meeting you this summer.

Potential By-law Requiring Mandatory Face Masks

On July 2, 2020, Brampton city council voted unanimously to make masks in enclosed spaces mandatory across the city to combat the spread of COVID-19.

The new bylaw, which still needs to be ratified at council's next meeting on July 8, will require the public to wear non-medical masks or face coverings in enclosed public spaces.

Children under the age of two and those unable to wear a mask for medical reasons will be exempt from the bylaw, based on advice and recommendations of public health officials.

What does this mean for Advanced Vitality?

If and when the bylaw is passed, any staff member, visitor and clinic member over the age of two, must wear a non-medical mask or face covering while at Advanced Vitality. We will have face masks available for purchase, should you forget to bring one with you.

In the meantime, we strongly recommend any visitor or clinic member to wear a face mask or covering while attending Advanced Vitality. All Advanced Vitality staff will continue to wear face masks and appropriate PPE.

Welcome Back Ideal Protein Clinic Members!

Ideal Protein Muffin Mix at Advanced Vitality

Ideal Protein Clinic Members can now book in person appointments with IP coach Maria starting July 6, 2020.

Ideal Protein Clinic Appointment Hours:

Monday's 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Wednesday's 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

P.s. We're stalking up on the NEW Blueberry Muffin Mix! Let us know if you'd like us to add a box to your next order.

In order to adhere to Public Health recommendations, we will continue to implement our current clinic procedures, practice physical distancing and sanitization requirements.

This means your Ideal Protein appointments and food pick up will look a bit different.

Please read below and contact us if you have any questions.

  1. Scheduled Appointments: All Ideal Protein dieters must have a scheduled appointment for coaching sessions, weigh-ins, food pick up and any other Ideal Protein related service that requires a dieter to come into the clinic to ensure adherence to physical distancing.

  2. Virtual Waiting Room: When you arrive for your scheduled appointment, please wait in your vehicle. We will send you a text message to indicate when your appointment room is ready.

  3. Pre-Orders: All Ideal Protein food order's must be placed through the Ideal Protein App for iPhone or Android, using the "pre-order" function prior to your scheduled appointment. This feature allows dieters to see what items are in stock at the clinic and helps Advanced Vitality staff prepare your order prior to your appointment.

  4. Ideal Protein Food Pick Up: Advanced Vitality staff will have your order prepared and packaged for pickup at your scheduled appointment. If you need to make any modifications to your orders, please do so ahead of time by contacting the clinic.

  5. Returns/Exchanges: At this time, we will not be accepting any returns or exchanges. We will honour our previous exchange policy once restrictions are able to be lifted.

  6. Personal Protective Equipment: We strongly recommend you wear a mask or face covering to your appointment.

Massage Therapy

Ladie started back in the clinic on June 22nd, and is gradually resuming practice by booking acute care and emergency massage therapy appointments. Massage Therapy is considered essential when the clinic member's overall health or function would considerable decline if massage therapy was not provided.

COVID-19 Note: In Accordance with the safe practicing standards set by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO), Clinic Members are required to wear a mask to and throughout their massage therapy appointment. Advanced Vitality will have masks available for purchase should you forget to bring one with you.

Please Note: we will be accepting new massage therapy clinic members at a later date.

Chiropractic Care Referrals

One of the greatest compliments we can receive is a referral from you! With over 15 years of experience, shared clinic perspectives and treatment options - Dr. Tamara has been such a great addition to the Advanced Vitality family and clinic members rave about their experiences with her.

We're Hiring!

RMT Kelly Walsh officially began her maternity leave back on May 27, 2020. We are so excited for Kelly and her family, and are very much looking forward to meeting the little one.

With that being said, we are in search of an RMT to cover Kelly's maternity leave, until her return in November, 2020. If you know of someone who may be interested in this position, have them check out the RMT job posting or contact us for more information.
