CHIROPRACTIC IS AN ESSENTIAL SERVICE!
We have great news! The College of Chiropractors of Ontario has confirmed with the Government of Ontario that Chiropractic Care is an essential service.
What Does this Mean for You?
Starting the week of April 6th, both Dr. Tara and Dr. Tamara will open modified hours for acute cases and emergency care appointments. Rest assured, we are taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of you, our clinic members and the staff.
Dr. Tara's Emergency and Acute Care Hours:
Monday's from 3:30pm to 6:30pm
Wednesday's from 3:30pm to 6:30pm
Thursday's from 9:00am - 12:00pm
Dr. Tamara's Emergency and Acute Care Hours:
Tuesday's from 3:30pm to 6:30pm
Thursday's from 3:30pm to 6:30pm
Friday's from 9:00am to 12:00pm

WHAT WE ARE DOING TO ENSURE YOUR SAFETY
In accordance with the recommendations stipulated by the Ministry of Health, we have implemented new policies that are applicable to clinic members and staff here at Advanced Vitality. Here's what's new:
What to Expect:
1. Screening Questions
The required screening questions will be asked via phone and in person on the day of your appointment. You will also be asked to initial a paper copy of the screening questions for our records.
2. Virtual Waiting Room
On the day of your appointment, you will be asked to wait in your vehicle until you have received a text message indicating that your treatment room is ready. Only one clinic member will be permitted in the clinic at a time (unless you are a caregiver or a parent accompanying a child with an appointment). Please do not bring family members to your appointment. Also, please KEEP YOUR SHOES ON and bring any personal items (coats, purses, etc.) with you into your treatment room.
At each appointment, we will record your temperature using a non-contact thermometer. Any indication of a fever will result in rescheduling the appointment.
4. Disposal of Your Face Paper
We would kindly ask that you remove and dispose of your own face paper at the end of your appointment to minimize contact with bodily fluids.
5. Social Distancing
The clinic will look a little bit different than we are all used to in order to adhere to social distancing recommendations. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with these measures. The staff will also be equipped with Personal Protective Equipment to ensure their health and safety.
6. No Cash/Cheque
We are accepting payment via credit, debit or direct billing No cash or cheque will be accepted.
7. Sanitization Procedures
Each treatment room is thoroughly sanitized between EACH appointment. The providers are using the World Health Organization method of Hand Washing/Rubbing between each appointment. The front area is also thoroughly disinfected hourly and the payment terminal after each use.
Please Note: the foyer of the building currently does not have hand sanitizer. We have submitted a request for those that need to use the elevator.
We know that this will only be temporary and we will be back to our normal ways in no time. Until then, we want to keep everyone safe, happy and moving!

To ensure everyone's safety, payment will be taken over the phone once your order is confirmed and ready for pick up. When you arrive to pick up your order, please knock on the clinic door and take two steps back. A staff member will open the door and place your packaged order outside the door for you to pick up.

Given the circumstances surrounding COVID-19, we have had to postpone our March 28th Orthotic Workshop.
We have booked a tentative workshop with Dr. Jennifer Chua here at Advanced Vitality on Friday, May 22nd from 3:00pm to 6:00pm

This was such a fun contest! Over a two week period in early March, we had 97 guesses. The magic number was 417. Fynn came the closest, without going over, with a guess of 408! Way to go, Buddy!
TEXT MESSAGING APPOINTMENT CONFIRMATIONS
As of April 1, 2020, all appointment reminders will be switched from email to text messaging reminders. You will receive the reminders one day before your appointment. Advanced Vitality will be confirming your contact information to ensure we have the correct cell phone number on file to use this feature.
Email reminders will still be used for those that prefer not to receive a text message reminder and for those who do not have cell phone numbers on file. If text message reminders is not your preference, kindly let us know.
